Are you ever going to answer what convinced you that the coasts will be flooded?
I have some desert acreage in west Texas and there are seashells there. That tells me that water levels on the infinite plane have varied since creation i.e there is no "normal" level. It's possible people on the coast 250 years from now experience more floods. But wouldn't people also be freaking out just the same if the "ocean levels are receding worldwide!!!!"????? I think so.

I already did. Ocean levels have been rising, and I believe they will continue to rise. They are also getting warmer. Warmer waters create stronger storms. Stronger storms create more flooding.
I think this trend will continue and 250 years from now, enough coastal fixtures will have been damaged that they will move them inland a little bit.

That is my guess. Feel free to disagree. Or maybe add your own, Imagine being useful!

Agreed. And the year or so the earth was covered in water. And as it recedes the southwestern US is still an inland sea, and then it drains off the flatlands making your Grand Canyon and other southwestern waterways. The Grand Canyon looks like when my old man filled swampland and we had severe storms before it was covered in grass. A giant version of that washout.

The same with the climate itself. It's also interesting to note that ocean water currents affect the climate.
