Why Americans are dying at a higher rate? What's behind the decline in US life expectancy?

Is that common?
Maybe among older Australians with British heritage. Less so these days. There are some of us that are still alive that remember when we had British passports. I imagine the sun is the same in Summer in LA and San Francisco. They are 34 degrees north. We are 34 degrees South,

When did you all have British passports?

Why though? I thought Australia was established farther back than that.
We were still British subjects and a British Colony. We became a federated country in 1901 ie. the States and Territories became "Australia" at that point. I think maybe Canadians were pretty late to the party too re: their passports but don't quote me on this... I think what forced the hand was India and third world countries becoming independent around that time and they didn't want to open the floodgate to third world commonwealth members flooding the UK (even if that later happened lol)... However Australians were fully British ethnically unlike some of those countries... They were our blood and we fought for them as well and up until WW2 it was referred to by some as "The mother country"... Even now the Union Jack is in the corner of our flag - it's not some coincidence... as much as it dismays much of modern "multicultural Australia'... we weren't very multicultural even when I was born. The problem is the concept of identity has become "national" rather than "racial and cultural". Culturally and racially I'm British in the same way as you might get a Chinese American calling themselves a Chinese American rather than just an American. However I am not British in terms of nationality because that door was closed.

OK re: Canada... from Wikipedia:

In 1946, the federal Parliament enacted the Canadian Citizenship Act, 1946, which created fully independent Canadian citizenship, separate from British law and status as British subjects.
So even Canadians were still technically British subjects until just after WW2.

That’s really interesting. But it doesnt make sense that they would issue British passports after Australia federated, but what do I know. So were those that had them British nationals or Australian or both? As for culture, wouldn’t you say there is (Maybe “was”) an Australian culture that is distinct and worthy? In the us, ethnic diversity has been important, but usually the immigrants wanted to assume an American identity. The problem we seem to have is not the ethnic diversity, but there is no distinct American identity, as it’s been completely denigrated and obliterated by the wokesters. I’m American and have no clue what this country stands for at this point. We used to value rugged individualism, entrepreneurialism, tradition, family, freedom of religion (largely Christian, yes), political freedom and so on. No more.

Well it's no different here except perhaps the immigrants don't want to assume what was our Australian identity. Instead the "wokesters" think Australian means multicultural and emphasise we all came from overseas at some point (except for the indigenous Australians). What they neglect to say is that up until quite recently our demographics were mostly British and to a lesser extent European. Well we can't say that anymore because we've been invaded like the UK has - by all sorts of other cultures which I feel are quite incompatible with our previous culture. So you'll have to excuse me for not feeling like I'm Australian anymore because what Australia is now is not what I identify as or how it was when I was born. I have very little pride in my nationality - it means very little to me. Race and culture means more to me because that's important to my cultural identity. The best I can say is I'm a British Australian - that at least conveys my ethnicity, culture and my location.

Now step back from the ledge my twin brother. Everyone knows that white people are not allowed to embrace their culture or identity. That's racist.

The fact is the world(s) we were born into and grew up in are gone. The animals have taken over the zoo. The only recourse is to situate yourself as far away from morons as possible, stack it deep and do you without regard to what anyone else thinks of it. Or conform. Those are the choices.

It’s not as important to me as you guys as, but I clearly see the double standard and it’s annoying… Why not organize and advocate?

Organize and advocate ? Well, for one thing it does little good if any. For another thing I have wasted enough time in my life worrying and quibbling about politics. Even if I advocate for the guy who claims he won't take my guns ( for example), he will later sign on to some crappy, feel good, do nothing bill after pressure mounts because some psycho shot up a school. And even if he doesn't, that same guy is going to allow corporations and banks to stick it in my ass as hard as they can. Or he'll sell out and change a law that advocates for just enough land to be owned in my state by a foreign country that Smithfield ( Chinese ) is able to become the largest pork farmer in the state.

It's all a shell game. And none of them truly give a shit about any of the stuff they claim during the election. Every single member of congress or politician period really only cares about one thing. Staying in power so they can get rich(er). Fuck 'em. Let them have the system they have grossly corrupted. Out here in the sticks even the cops are on our side so.... I just want them to leave me alone. Hell, I pay them enough they damn well should be satisfied to just leave me be. I ain't hurting anyone and I gave them 28k this year in taxes. They can step the fuck off me.

Queef Malone. Dibs on band name!

our fucking food. all the poisons that they can legally put in our food to increase profits. It's criminal. The european union got it right with their food regulations.

Yup, our food (If you can even call it that) is a disaster. Full of sugar, carbs, preservatives, pesticides, chemicals, processed all to hell and back.

Eat grains, and pasta they said. LOL yeah do that and =?

Obesity has been an epidemic for years now all of a sudden it's the cause of the additional deaths? I see an awful lot of obits the past few years for people in the 30-40-50 age range. Suicide, overdose, vaccines. Very obvious. Fat guy+vaccine surefire early death.

I was replying to JBT, I was agreeing our food is a disaster.

As for this FAUX NOISE segment. LOL I like how they had vaccine injection cuts running in the background. :hys:

The answer is COVID. Life expectancy is actually on the rise, but still below pre-covid levels
