No good dead goes unpunished..
People will bleed you dry if you let them.
At least you can feel good about saying NO to everything he needs here on out..

Then the guy whose shoes he's tied every day for the last 25 years will finally make an effort to do something but that something will be badmouthing him to anyone who will listen about how 70Mach1 is an unhelpful, shitty neighbor. This is the mentality of these people. Zero gratitude.

Seems like the Train Of Paybacks is pulling in the Station.. The guy is getting up in years and has no skills. Shit will start falling apart and he has a loser ass kid that doesn't do shit.. All the best.. LOL To ask for 50 bux was outrageous. Eat me ass and pay ME 50 bux, asshole..

I do in home service. I work a lot of high rent neighborhoods. We got a lot of snow this week and NOBODY shovels their snow. They never shovel, every year.. A LOT of lofty, judgemental types with Coexist sticker on the Subaru Outbacks.. LOL The chances of one of these types helping you on the side of the road is 0.0.

Going off on a rant here, but people are shit and talk a big game, but really can't do anything but drive a Laptop.. Especially after the Politicized Scamdemic.. Don't feel bad about getting your hands dirty and actually doing real work. The blessing of hard work is being able to do it.. Chances are you heath is above average, and you walk thru the world free with your head up..

This is accurate but usually they add additional stickers; rainbow flag, "I'm with her", and pro abortion stuff.

Don't feel bad about getting your hands dirty and actually doing real work. The blessing of hard work is being able to do it..
Amen to that. Every day I can manage it is a good day.

Fuckin A

We always help people. It has bitten us in the ass but whatever. The one time I did loan an elderly neighbor $300 and she never paid me back. Her excuse was she stopped with the money and we were not home. Now she doesn't have the money. Like it was my fault for not being home. I let it go. If I mentioned it to her husband he would probably have beaten her. For some reason reading through this thread reminded me of that.

Personally I would say cool thanks, block his number and point some security cameras his direction.

Yeah. I'm sort of the same. You really can't teach idiots so the lesson won't be learned. I was mainly raised that two wrongs don't make a right. Sometimes eye for an eye is in order, but usually I try to take the high road as things usually wind up working out (to my advantage).

You paid her 300 bux to never bother you again..

we been living next to this guy over 25 yrs. I did a lot of favors in this time.
I wired his whole basement, hung ceiling fans, wired up his pool and did some light carpentry.
he paid for the materials and I just gave the time and experience
Even snow blew his driveway during a few monster storms. I changed flats for him.
got calls 11PM that the boiler is out. I get that fired up.

A few days ago my back was hurting. we had about 3" of light snow.
I text him about 10am and ask he if can send Jr over to make path from my door to the street. just a path not the whole driveway. about 35 feet.
Then put some salt down that i have in the garage.

Now Jr is 23, single, not is school, no job or GF . I was going to throw him a $20 anyway. looking at 10 minutes of easy work

he text me back and says hes sleeping and I dont want to wake him. i told him Ok it can be done later.
He text back and says he can come after dinner but wants $50.

now im pisssed but didnt text him back.

if the shoe were on the other foot ida threw my sons fat ass out of bed right then and there or done it myself to help.

This morning I caught the father in the driveway and ran over there and gave him a serious piece of my mind in not so nice English

so now Mrs 70 says im the asshole and lost a friend. i said what friend. A friend would have been there for me no questions asked.
No skin off my back. now I know where i stand with these people. never again will i lift a hand to do anything for them.

so now Im Plainview NYs newest asshole, To bad I dont feel that way.
I wouldn't have said anything. I'd have been polite.... that said, I'd never do any work for them ever again. This way you wouldn't look like the bad guy.

At this point, I think you should apologize and state your case. Simply say you were having a bad day and you reacted to the fact that you were looking for a little help... the same way your neighbor was looking for help multiple times. I'm not saying to tuck tail, just saying to keep it cordial since they are neighbors. You don't want them to cause you anymore head aches in the future.

Several years ago we had a massive snow storm. I went to multiple neighbors houses (easily 4-5) to blow their driveways. I got to the last neighbor down the street and started to blow the driveway. He had done very little shoveling and while he watched me clear a path behind one car, came up to me and said "I'm tired and am going inside." I was livid, but continued to blow the rest of his driveway. I have never helped him again.

That'll teach him to fuck with you, Dave.

My neighbor put a telephone pole across our driveway. He thought we didn’t have a right to our easement we’ve had since 1985. He’s a real peach. We’re suing him.

What a dick move. Was he actually pile driving fence poles in to 'solidify his point'? How did this end?
