Got Banned From TGP

I can tell you that being a premium doesn't get you preferential treatment. I got a warning when I was a gold member for something completely retarded. Now the person harassing you may have gotten preferential treatment by giving sexual favors to Scott Peterson.

that's what bugged me the most about the site. I wouldn't say I expected special treatment for being a paying member, but as someone who did pay to use the site, and was a fairly long time member there, I got real tired of getting a week long suspension every time someone reported one of my posts. It's not like I was sending any threads nuclear or anything, just delete the post someone didn't like, and keep it moving. I was getting suspended for people reporting 4 and 5 year old posts. Just fucking delete them.

I also got real heated when one of those stupid suspensions happened like minutes after I sent a dude a bunch of money for an amp in the emporium. I got his contact info before hand so it wasn't a big deal, but I'm paying to use the emporium, and when I asked them if they could just hold off on the suspension for a couple days until I see the deal through they told me to pound sand. I thought that was pretty fucked up. Block me from the pub if you want, but don't take away access to something I'm paying for in the middle of a deal. I miss chatting with a lot of dudes there but the way the site is run just sucks now.

I posted in two different threads about pop up ads why I stopped paying for a premium membership in response to the dickwads snidely remarking that paying premium allows you to have an ad-free experience. Both times I got suspended. Not for the posts about why I stopped paying for premium but for other posts within 24 hours. The suspensions were bullshit. Giving them money , no matter how small an amount, is foolish.

They allow me back on at this point, but I never seem to go there.
Not that I matter much, but I was also a paying member that no longer pays or frequents the site anymore.
Im just fine here as I see it...

Although, I do try at the other Rigtalk, but that seems to be a "mean girls" club of about three. Sad.

I had a hell of a time canceling my auto renewal. It would have been simple if the charges said “the gear page” anywhere in the description but that would make too much sense. After going back through like a years worth of PayPal transactions I found one simple labeled “forum membership” and canceled that one hoping for the best
