Any idea what model Splawn he’s playing thru ? It shows a quick pic of a Marsahll during that clip

Mike recorded that clip with a 50 QR. They used video footage of the 1987x in the B-roll, but the tone was all QR. I don’t know what gear or whether it was OD1 or OD2. He did have it variac’ed a bit - nothing crazy low, but maybe in the 100 range just to soften the wall voltage a bit. And no boost - not even a phaser in front of the amp during eruption. Crazy good phrasing, swing and physical ‘attack’ on this track.
 
DLR imposter was good …. Guitar sounded great…
 
New clip after putting some new JJ ECC83S and Sovtek 12ax7LPS in the PI... and re-installed all 4 JJ EL34ii tubes in the Powersection. 100watts.

I think it’s been a few months now. He’s not very responsive. I sent him several messages but haven’t heard anything. I might call this week. But I decided to bite the bullet and order a guitar. I don’t have a super Strat and he uses great materials and pick ups. So figured that I would give it a go. But I can also use my deposit toward an amp.

His guitars look glorious. I'd love to play one. That purple snakeskin color shift (I think I posted here) was my favorite and I'm not a purple fan. :lol:

Yeah, he has been tough to reach on email - best to call. :yes:
