Astrobotics moon mission not going great

The free thinkers of today go against the 'scientific' orthodoxy and politically correct establishment, just like the free thinkers of yesteryear went against the church and monarchy.

Lol that’s convenient. The free thinkers of the past identified problems and dedicated their lives to correcting them. Today all you have to do is shitpost on the internet. What a time to be alive!

Fuck that was one of the most egotistical things I’ve ever read in my life.

I don't think one needs to "solve problems" in order to be a free thinker. They just need to be able to think and see beyond the little sandbox that society has conditioned them to stay in. I don't think one needs to be a virtuous person in order to be a free thinker either. In fact, centering your life around trying to be 'virtuous' is dumb, if for no other reason than people have difficulty identifying or agreeing on what that even means. It's tough to discuss these things with you though, because your perspective is very, very narrow.

But you’ve yet to show any semblance of “thinking”. You’re dismissive sure, but that’s it. Anyone can say “I don’t think I believe that”. That isn’t free thinking. You place your own personal logic over entire fields of professionals and experts. That isn’t free thinking, it’s just ego. posting links to studies other people have done that coincide with your beliefs isn’t free thinking. It’s sheep shit just like the people you think you are more clever than

There is no such thing as ‘personal’ logic. What are you looking for exactly? Would you like more reasoning why I think a given study demonstrates what I claim for example? Regardless, as I mentioned I don't need to write an essay or be a good person to be a free thinker. I just need to be able to see beyond the orthodoxy, which you simply can't. I kind of agree with the others that this is getting tired.

Bro.. it's like watching two ChatGPT bots fight for last place in the special Olympics.

:ROFLMAO:
Dude, I will say that at least anyrir has way more personality than you. All you do is make quips and post gifs and emojis. I have yet to see you string a few sentences together and actually contribute to the convo.

If you are tired of it stop following me around trying to tell me I'm wrong lol. All I did was post an update about the moon lander in a thread about moon landings and off you went.
Your idea of "orthodoxy" is almost as skewed as your idea of free thinking.

that dude is burnt out, don't mind him. he should tour trades schools and warn students about the dangers of chewing on solder wire.

It's tired because it never goes anywhere. You have a mental wall that you can't get beyond. But I still enjoy responding to your posts here and there.

I don't think it's entirely unreasonable to believe man has been to the moon. But have you actually truly considered the alternative position? If you have and still sincerely believe we have, fine. But I would hope the confidence in the belief is at least a bit diminished.

Believing that the moon landing was real is not a mental wall. Believing the results of a $17,000 covid testing machine is not a mental wall. Vaccines have been around for hundreds of years, taking one more is not a mental wall.
Your generalizations of people is what I find to be a mental wall for you. You need to consider that someone isn’t always “for the cause” just because they aren’t against it. Most people are just indifferent and getting through their days.
Just because I understand that the climate is changing doesn’t mean I use paper straws and preach electric vehicles. It just means that I can read an ass simple graph and understand what carbon dioxide does in an atmosphere. These aren’t mental walls

If there was a single reason to believe the alternative, I would consider it. But “hey photos can be faked” isn’t a very good reason

First, you think you understand the climate. It turns out the carbon dioxide increase came after the climate got warmer. I think the vast majority of people don't give any of this stuff any thought whatsoever, so I applaud you for at least thinking about it a little. What you don't do, regarding vaccines, moon landings, or testing machines is question. There is a lot more to the moon landing critique than the photos. The evidence is actually quite complex, also covering non-scientific and otherwise unrelated disciplines such as human psychology and the political analysis of why governments lie.

How do you know I don’t question things? What’s to say I didn’t question them initially, realized that it was foolish to do so, and then made my decision. None of this shit is new.

As far as co2, you are missing the forest for the trees. It doesn’t really matter how or why the earth is warming.
What we do know though that the earth is in fact getting warmer.
CO2 does in fact trap heat in an atmosphere
And human activity, whether it be cars or cattle, does in fact create a lot of co2.

Even if want to believe it was a coincidence that temps and co2 levels both grew exponentially around the time of our Industrial Revolution, it does it change the undeniable fact that reducing co2 will reduce the temperature of the planet. It’s that simple. Even if the earth is getting warmer due to “natural cycles”, reducing co2 will reduce the increase of temperature.

That graph you posted a bit ago showed that the earth warms and cools. So what is the question. But you are concerned.
