The Trans Day of Vengeance is Coming

that’s always possible, but the tone of nearly every OP here is not, “hey guys, let’s discuss this delicate issue”

It’s usually just a douchey tweet
I agree, but so much of what’s happening these days is blatantly outrageous by historic standards so discussion seems inappropriate or ridiculous. The same dynamic applies to the mainstream media and institutions of higher learning as well, for example if someone wanted to have a nuanced discussion about nazism or virology for that matter.

So you agree that PLX saying I’m a poor conversationist is just another limp dick insult because clearly most topics spoken about here are not conducive to “discussion”

Conversation or general commentary and observations are one thing, and debating controversial topics are another. Speaking personally I can’t say that I’ve had much success with the latter. But that’s not uncommon when people disagree.

I think you’re a decent conversationalist if the topic isn’t controversial, and sometimes when it is.

Then maybe I misunderstood what you meant when you said that “discussion seems inappropriate or ridiculous”

I was just saying that when people think a thing is blatant, obvious, solidly established, etc., they don’t typically tolerate challenge or nuanced discussions.

Wanna talk about speakers and tone ?

Yes!
I have another Scumback on the way.
Gutting my 2061 cab.
Going with a M75PVC which I already own and have a M75 ordered.
Those anniversary speakers aren’t my jam.

Which should I put in the top, slanted position?

I put a tone pot question in the “Tech” portion of this site, but no responses…

M75pvc are a great speaker. I dig the BMs as well, but m75pvc is a better all around speaker IMO

The bass isn’t super tight in them so I think they would be more balanced in a slanted position, but if maximum thump is what you are looking for slap them in the bottom

But that still strengthens my stance that most threads here are not created with the intent of discussion.
PLX says he wants to talk about gear but when I post a picture with my guitar in it, all he has to say is “gay”.

Not what pickups? How do you like the endurneck? What pedals are those?

If he was craving gear talk he would have jumped on the opportunity. Instead he defaults to shit posting.

Top was what I was thinking too.
The M75 is a little bassinet so figured bottom.

He’s kind of a weird dude, I admit.

I’m trying to consolidate down to just a 2x12 cab so I’m gonna be selling a bunch of speakers once I can let go. It’s been tough lol. I barely even remember what I have boxed up but I still have trouble thinking about listing them

that guitar tho ?

…to each their own ?
It’s comfy, multiscale is useful, several pickup sounds/options.
Like I said, take away nostalgia and it’s a no brainer.
I mean I have a dozen other guitars that pay homage to my heroes so I get it, but the strandberg seems to be the only one I play now

Fair enough. I was thinking about a kemper at one point but it just seems kind of redundant to software. How is it any better unless you need the stability and convenience for a gig?

I have a Sourmash Bluesbreaker style cab I loaded with a Creamback, but I never seem to use it.

I like the 2x12 better, even with the speakers I don’t care for in it.

I can’t remember the last time I played through a cab. Even if I sell my speakers I’ll probably keep the cabs just to store amps on lol

I think the biggest benefit to the kemper is the library of sounds. It’s been around long enough that you can find pretty much any amp you are looking for.

It is kinda in limbo is the sense that digital gear attracts the “tweaking” crowd, and Kempers aren’t really meant for that. But it is a great digital option for analog sounds.

I think a lot of bands are using them on tour because they can capture the tones from song/record and have it available to them at a touch of a button. Legacy bands can have 50 years worth of tones on stage with them.

You’re mainly digital? Kemper or Axefx gear?
Or plugged into computer?
Sorry, not sure the correct terminology.

My buddy was just telling me he’s playing mainly thru headphones these days, but loving the Friedman IR/X

For the last few years Ive been mostly playing tube amps through a captor X. The kemper is pretty recent and gets most of the use now, but I still have all the amps I’ve built built so I need to keep at least one cab around.
