It's us vs. them. You're either on team bugs or team people.
Fact. Bugs are not vital to the eco system. You've been fed a lie by Entomologists who just want grants to study these little alien fucks.

We can do without them. Except for Bees maybe. At least keep the bumble bees. I don't fuck with them.
If your a bug and your outside, fine. I'll leave you be. But if you think yo gonna shack up in my crib, get fucked. Beetle? I'll pick ya up and place you outside. Spiders and shit that sting or bite? F-OFF, war is on.

So I eventually want to move south, from New England. I have had it with the lack of sun and grey skies for 8 months out of the year. The rest of the 4 months, it rains. So maybe 1 month a year of sunshine.

But down south, I would imagine, bugs do not die in the Winter, they just keep growing right?

I'm gonna need a Space-X level bug deterrent system. What ya think?

The main part of my house was built in 1799.
Not the most sealed up place.

The amount of lady bugs, box elder bugs and stink bugs that live rent free all winter in my home just astounds me.
It's almost as if I'm on their turf lol.

Not to mention the flies once the farmers start spraying their fields.

I'd say it's time to tell them that the lease is REVOKED

Depends on the bug.

Spiders, and other predators take care of other bugs that are more harmful. Ticks? Kill em all. If you are lucky enough to have possums or birds that feed on them, they can be controlled.
Bees? If we got rid of bees it would eventually be a disaster as they pollinate EVERYTHING. Some flies as well. So, I'm all for keeping bees flourishing.

I lived in New Hampshire for two years. I understand why people drink so much and act the way they do up there. It's fuckin miserable. Of course all I did was work so there is that. Fuckin winter and then mud season. Then black flies and mosquitoes. WV might be kinda poor and 20 years behind but a bug problem we do not have.

I had 2 possums stuck in my garage for a week when I went on vacation. I called animal control and they said "what do you want us to do?" LOL
I had ZERO knowledge about possums, so I figured they were disease ridden and would bite my arm off. I eventually got them out. They ate a few potatoes and that was about it. Fascinating animal and very docile as well. They make great pets if raised from birth. But best left in the wild where they are natures janitors. Sad that people just shoot them for no good reason. Possums have been around 65 million years. That's nuts.

Yep, every fucking Saturday it rains. Every God Damn weekend, without fail. Sun comes out on Monday. Tell me the fucking Gubmt isn't controlling the weather :D

I have 3 outside jobs I can't do because of the fucking rain also. I told my wife, I have 2 years left, tops. Can't live without Sun.

I'd love to move down to Appalachia. Love the history, the folklore and also open back banjo. My dad has a vacation house in Freedom, NH right on Osipee lake. They have more rules and regulations in Freedom NH than anything I've ever seen.

I lived in a little town called newbury on lake sunnupee. I’m sure I spelled it wrong. Worked for Ruger in Newport. It was okay but I prefer it here. You get used to the mountains and forests here…as well as the isolation somewhat. fuck those winters up there where you are. One good thing is they took care of the roads, unlike here…I also bought my kids a home on 7 acres for not much at all. The land is mountainside so it’s only good for billy goats and rattlesnakes but still. The place I got them would be 10x more expensive up there.

Yeah he has a place there. I never saw him there. Would’ve liked to have seen his daughter…lol

Yep, Possums look all scary like a large rat but they are super cleanup artists. And, like you say they aren't aggressive unless cornered. My neighbor had a box full of little ones when the mom was killed by a coyote. He was able to take care of them and raise them up...a few still live on his property. He has some big dogs that keep the coyotes away now.

Possums are cute.

Anyway too many bugs and creepy crawlies in the US. I'd be scared to visit.

Is that a Possum? The ones around here have a white face, black eyes and a long pink tail like a giant rat. But they are harmless.
Lots of different types of possums here. The one I showed you before is a brush tailed possum... This one is a ring tailed possum.

Sounds like some other places I know of.

Down here it's fleas right now. I've grown to love the itch of flea bites in the spring. Like a mosquito bite, only deeper and more legitimate. The bugs I don't like are the kissing bugs. They spread chagas. Bad news. I found a baby tarantula on the porch the other morning, that was a first and pretty cool. Usually when you see them they are adults and either dead or trying to cross a roadway somewhere.
