well they are strong and independent, and want equality.Back to the OP (who has neglected to provide his own insightful take on his chosen YouTube video for the day, as per usual), perhaps if Australian women weren’t being murdered one every four days by a man in this country then we wouldn’t need some embarrassing Ministerial position like this.

Your country was started as colonies. Just like ours. It was also a dumping ground for England's prisoners. The US revolution doesn't change any of that.I'm 3% Aussie...I'm colonial as fuck....mate...
I didn't say you are British. I said you are colonial. There were French, Spanish and English colonies. It's in your blood. Unless you are 100% native American. Some of us. There is no British in me. My wife on the other hand is more British by blood than my sister in law who was born and raised in Manchester. Nevertheless we are drastically further removed from our British roots. No one here has given a fuck about the queen or the British government in 250 years. You're proud of being British. That's not something that happens here. My brother in law took his wife back to Staleybridge ( Manchester) a few years ago to see her dying brother in law. She couldn't wait to get back home to Missouri. She's only been here about 12 or 15 years or something. Then her son who came to the US with her when he was like 8 or 9 decided a couple years ago that the US was fucked, blah, blah, blah. I think mostly because weed was still illegal. Anyway, he decides not to renew his visa and move back to England, well, Wales, to be with his father ( who is a piece of work, but that's a different story). Within a month the father is calling my sister in law complaining that Joe is smoking all his weed and just laying around the house. In less than a year my brother in law, who paid for his move back to the "Motherland", is paying to fly his dumb ass back to Missouri. He's now shacked up with some fat bitch in Festus. My point being that given the choice between England and Missouri, they overwhelmingly chose Missouri.
So yes, you lot ( see what I did there?) are infinitely more British than we are. Around here blood doesn't mean much to anyone other than skinheads. And frankly I've not seen or ran into any skinheads since the 80s.
I can see you dancing with them at the Blue Oyster.I played a gig at a biker bar in central florida about fifteen years ago for a special event and there were maybe half a dozen skinhead dudes there. I don't know if they knew or not but I figured they had to know, but my entire set list except for one song at that time was black music. Anyhow I mention it because the dudes were super nice and complimentary to me and the band and bought us beers and stuff, lol. It was also memorable because we were trying to load in and biker club dudes were blocking the path and some sergeant at arms came and chewed them out and told em to get the eff outta the way and they all scrambled to move, lol. I haven't been to a state with more sketchy gigs than Florida except for some ventures I had up in Michigan.
Again, no one here pays much attention to the blood of ancestors 8 times removed or whatever. At any rate my European ancestors didn't hit North America until well after the revolution. So immigrants would be more appropriate.I didn't say you are British. I said you are colonial. There were French, Spanish and English colonies. It's in your blood. But there's no difference here and I wasn't talking about you specifically. My comment is directed at the US as a country. It has the same history as here in terms of being a colony with immigrants from predominantly Europe. It even was England's dumping ground for convicts for a while. Any differences between the US and Australia are only a matter of degree. Both countries are new world ex colonies with immigration from Europe becoming more multicultural in the 20th century and now at least in our case losing our identity to multiculturalism. Or if you are a fan of multiculturalism you can say changing our identity. The whole "Australia IS (present tense) a penal colony trope" is a joke considering your own history.Again, no one here pays much attention to the blood of ancestors 8 times removed or whatever. However some of your current Presidents are felons apparently ;-)
Whenever I interact with you I picture you eating cheese with a black and white stripey shirt, a beret, a string of onions around your neck mon ami.Personally I never gave your convict heritage a second thought. To me it is no more relevant than my French heritage. Which I do not acknowledge.

looks like they got it.
They have a long way to go to get to homicide equality between men and women in Australia:
“Sixty-nine per cent of homicide victims in 2022–23 were male, with a homicide victimisation rate of 7.65 per 100,000 for Indigenous males compared with 1.04 per 100,000 for non-Indigenous males. "

Only you could've extrapolated that from anything he posted.Right, so the best solution to women dying of domestic violence is...to kill more women.
I wonder what the women in your life would think of your genius plan.

You missed the joke…Your country was started as colonies. Just like ours. It was also a dumping ground for England's prisoners. The US revolution doesn't change any of that.
Logic fail (Appeal to Pity, Appeal to Popular Opinion,...).Right, so the best solution to women dying of domestic violence is...to kill more women.

yes, and more than your fair share of venomous critters too. all yoursYou said that as I was posting this bro':
That said, we've probably got the greatest number of sharks in the world.
Think of them as our aquatic version of Drop Bears.![]()
