They obviously find it titillating to dress like a woman. Of course it's overtly sexual. In fact it's swapping one sexes clothes for the others. It's all about one's sex.

I know it’s not really your bag, but a lot of people make a distinction between gender and sex. Drag is more of a dialogue on gender roles than it is about sex in the sense of lust and whatnot

I don’t know if they do anything for illiterate homeless people specifically, but the drag story hour does work with a lot of different community programs to offer free or discounted shows for different funds and whatnot

I’ll definitely watch that later, but for real man, drag and trans are 2 very different things. I reckon there are people that do drag that also feel they are transgendered, but by and large it’s about dudes who know they are dudes that want to dress like women, get on stage, sing some songs and tell jokes.
Still might be weird to ya, but I feel the distinction matterss.

The distinction is similar to dog's nuggets vs vomit imo. Both of those things will ruin a glass of milk if you mix them into it. Metaphorically speaking.

I think it depends on the perspective. It might ruin the glass of milk for you, but that particular glass of milk might not have been for you, and maybe the dog’s nuggets have never been happier.

I dunno man, I’ve never heard that expression so I’m running with it lol, but I think you catch my drift.

Maybe you should ask someone who has hired them to perform? They don’t just show up at schools and libraries, they are hired and requested to be there.
They aren’t imposing on anyone even remotely unwilling to see them.

It’s been a program for almost 10 years, it’s just the cool new thing to up in arms about at the moment.
 
I’m not saying any of you guys are doing it, but there have been several bomb threats called in to libraries to try and stop these events. It has happened all over the country. This shit isn’t about keeping the children safe

All the schools I went to growing up were shit filled mostly with gross mean people but my wife insisted our kids have a "normal" upbringing in public schools.Those are places of misery and stupidity and she now finally realizes that after two kids.

I loved school lol. Thankfully my daughters do too.
Actually a middle school in my county is in the middle of a minor scandal because of a “queer” book. A butthurt parent called the police about it instead of the school and now it’s a shitshow for no reason. Another example of the detractors making it worse for everyone.

What book was it? I have zero confidence in schools being able to judge what is appropriate for children these days. A call to the police may have been understandable, perhaps justified.

It was that “gender queer” book all the Karens are up in arms about. Unfortunately it wasn’t even there, it was just some parent being a cunt.
The police received the call so they had to investigate. The officer showed up after students had left, in plain clothes, and asked the library if they had the book. They said no, and he left. That was it.
Now it’s a shitshow with one side crying “police overreach” and the other side crying “censorship” when in reality not a fucking thing actually happened aside from a parent not being able to deal with their kid maybe being gay
