What counts as the modern left? That might help clarify things.
I have no intentions of justifying the stunts pulled by some people on the left, no did I mean what I wrote that way. The comparison to the right was only to provide another example of a group that I think has bad actors in it while not being entirely bad actors, and that I figured you'd agree (the right) has some bad actors while not being all bad actors.
Are you saying the people I mentioned are included in this group you're concerned with? Or that they aren't and bringing them up is like making the conversation about Stalin when you're talking about Mao? Rephrasing, are you saying that you're only concerned with the people I'm calling "bad actors", or are you saying you also consider the colleagues and friends I mentioned to be "bad actors"?
1. The modern left.
2. Which is why I Included "or equate"
3. There are no "some" at this point. Anyone who plays along, votes for it, down plays it, or even simply agrees to something because "my party" is culpable, imo. Modern "liberal" movements are anything but virtuous. They aren't about equality. They're about domination of mind and will. There's no supremacist boogieman loading people on trains to camps. There's no Hitler. It's all a fantasy that has gone too far.
4. What?
Look, I don't really care about most of what the right is doing. Modern "liberalism" has cried wolf so many times and destroyed so many lives that they created a need for balance due to their destructive natures. Finally, I am a liberal. Live and let live and all that jazz. But not at the cost of others. Not at the cost of normality, either.
What I am not is someone who plays along with fantasy slights that were purposefully created/embellish/exaggerated to cast shadows over real issues. None of it is grassroots. None. It's spook propaganda to keep eyes and ears away from the actual problem. The federal government and their puppet masters.
Nowadays the left begs for the government to babysit them and control others they don't agree with. That's not liberalism in the slightest sense.
It's real, it's sad, and it's scary, it's closer to fascism than anything perpetuated by the right in a long time. A generation of insanity, gaslighting, propaganda, and division. I'll take no part. I will speak against it. I will do my best to stand against it.
