I blame it on guys being stupid enough to trust that their woman won't ever do anything to hurt them. It's like they are the sweetest and most fair thing on the planet until a lawyer gets a hold of them during a divorce right ? I avoided that whole scene with my first wife by loading my truck up with my guns, guitars, tools and dog and just let her have everything. I was 30 years old and a carpenter so I figured it was only money and I could make more. I didn't even get a lawyer or go to court. I just told her to have her lawyer send whatever papers I needed to sign and I'd sign them and send them back. Gave her the house and several vehicles. Then the bitch had the balls to ask me to pay half her lawyer bill since I didn't get a lawyer. Fuck that.
