Finally got my Guitar Room Organized - Reduced the Clutter so I can focus on playing

I would much rather have a separate closed off room so I would not have to worry about bothering other people, but other than that it is a nice space to play

Sorry, I meant whenever I make an upgrade to my space, I always like sharing with the forums. I was just making a joke about how we didn't get to see the before shots.
I didn't mean playing while other people can hear in the surrounding rooms.

I never think to take before shots

My jam rooms are always before shots. Sludge metal is born in clutter and smoke.

Looks great! My gear space often gets to be a complete mess and it feels so nice to get it cleared out.

I am one of those people that if there is clutter I can't work.
In some ways it is good and in some ways it is bad.
I always admire how some people can have a mess and just start working and be productive.
That is not me...
I need to be organized before I start anything.

Same with my guitars, amps, pedals, if it is a mess I can't even think of playing.
That is why i like minimal pedals, in a perfect world my amps would have delay/reverb, and a TS808 built in, but unfortunately that is not the case.

So yesterday the humidity in the house finally is at 36% so I was able to hang my guitars up for a bit and take the time to organize my amps and pedals to see how my guitar room would best function for me.

Recently I cut down from 15 guitars to 6 guitars, so I have a lot of free space to fill. I had to get creative.
On a positive note, my wife said I will need to buy another amp since one of them will be traveling to our vacation home with my Ibanez Prestige.
She even thinks I should buy another guitar, but I can just hang more stuff where the Ibanez is and it will look cool.

Are any of you guys/gals like this or can you just play no matter what?
Why? With the fake plants…

Howie, being up there on the balcony I bet you put on a great performance for everyone in the house.

I need to start playing standing up, I always sit.
I wonder if I can even play standing up.
Better make sure my strap holds my guitars, I have Dunlop strap locks that go over the strap, hope they are secure.

I just needed a space filler.
Looks better than empty space or cheap guitars.
Or a reason to get more guitars.

I don’t do too well with clutter either, it throws me into a state of procrastination. I like everything to be neatly organized so I falsely feel like I have a semblance of control in the world, when really, I’m just as lost as the rest of you lot. Although, I suspect FourT6and2 is always mastering something while under full and total control, doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants, with no holds barred.

You summed it up exactly, a false sense of control, lol

Sweet spot howie! My wife actually donated her walk in closet to me. I now affectionately call it the boom boom room. Anyway space is at a premium but I like it. Not to start a room contest but I shot the shit with thumbpicker yesterday on FaceTime and he’s in Australia. He has an amazing home but his man cave/music room was sweet…. Good dude…here’s my spot….chainsaws gone btw….

I thought my spot was tight, lol. You have some high powered amps in that little space, be careful. You might hit a power chord and end up in another room.

my music room is the only room in the house that doesn't look like it could be on an episode of hoarders. I don't eat, drink, smoke, vape, or fart in the music room. The only room in the house that stays 75degF and 45% RH year round in upstate NY. The rest of the house I could care less, lol.

I'm standing under a fan, so it sounds loud, but it's not loud in the room. My meter measures 46-478dB on the meter, and talking loud will register closer to 60dB for reference.
