His Recto tone was amazing and they got an incredible recorded tone on First Strike still Deadly.

1000%. That's a kick ass album. They re-reorded every song to perfection, and I believe that was Skolnick's first album back with the band.

Live In London was a few years later and Peterson used the Recto live. I got the DVD back then. He rocked a nice Dean Cadillac, and I believe an Edwards LPC, among others. Killer tone.

Testament was one of my favorite bands, and Eric Peterson one of my favorite riff writers!
The Gathering is still one of my all time fave trash metal guitar tones!
