It's not works that gets you saved but you have to show the fruit of the spirit. It's no good just saying empty words - were you ever truly a Christian? It'd be like the parable of the talents and the parable of the seeds etc. You do have to become a disciple of Jesus and follow him otherwise were you really converted to be a follower of Jesus at all? You can't trick Jesus and God.therein lies the conundrum, that’s baffled biblical scholars for centuries. Just faith or faith with works? If any works are required then it’s not a gift.
