Don't know about anyone else, but I've been seeing some positive results. My Roth IRA hasn't really done anything other that hover where it's been. I have however been able to grow my checking account over the last 4 months by about $1000 due to not having to spend as much on groceries, gas, and energy bills each month. Seems those prices have gone down.
 
I suspect prices are going down because more people are in a position to spend less. I just kind of see it as the recession that should have happened in 2020, is now happening. I noticed that used Mesa Mark series amps are also selling for more reasonable prices. I remember back in 2022 and the prices were ridiculous.

Yup and well said......It's just basic supply and demand curve to be honest......


And Equilibrium Point in basic Econ......



Supply is high....... demand is low......


This applies tarrifs or no tarrifs in a low interest rate economy...... or high interest rate economy as we have now.
 
I've been down for most of this year, but have also been buying more during this time. I'm down around 5-6% from my highest point, and as countries start to realize they have to negotiate to adjust the reciprocal tariffs, we'll see greater positive momentum in the markets.

I'm already hearing about eliminating Federal Income tax on social security benefits, and what is being termed the External Revenue Service that is on it's way to eliminating individual income tax for those whose income is $200K or less (i.e., the middle class).

China is making secret backroom, quiet deals with the USA on trade and tariffs to save face in China.

EU, UK, Vietnam, South Korea and others are having talks with the US. Even members of the EU are considering ending the Ukraine war; not to mention the USA / Ukraine deal on rare earths that was signed recently.

(Not sure on Japan, but a workstation keyboard, MIJ, that I planned to buy recently increased $400; so I'll have to wait for Japan to negotiate)

And Canada is planning for a White House visit soon:



Eventually we'll get around to minor countries like Australia, New Zealand,...

Consumer prices for food, gas, etc., are trending lower....

Uncle Sap is gone, Uncle Sam is back, and better than ever.

I don't want to go over why this will work outside from the basic fundamentals in the economy..... something woke retarded "experts" at CNN/MSNBC/NYTimes will never understand......



But pretty much when shit hits the fan with China in any event........ and it will......


Vietnam, India, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Germany, Britain, France, Mexico, Australia etc etc and any other other country worth a real damn in the real world will side with America vs China.....



And fall in line......


All day....


Everyday......



And China is beginning to realize that......

Well they already did so on the government-funded ABC here in Oz today. I was gobsmacked.

It wasn't just the usual tweaking either; it was a radical overhaul. Apparently the UK's deal is meaningless. They didn't even mention that it was technically 25 years in-the-making. Didn't show any of Starmer's effusive praise or anything. Pretty-much no footage and all editorial. A so-called news report.

Honestly, IMHO Aussies should be livid about the fact that we fund the organisation to the tune of over a billion a year and to be "balanced and fair" is in its charter. We pay them to brainwash us. Same deal for the US with PBS except that here there's only ever talk of increasing the funding, not taking it away. :no:

Yep, they're starting the same thing over here too downplaying everything and calling the deal marginal. On top of that they're spinning the praise from UK officials as "stroking Trump's ego" so they can work a better deal for the UK. I've pulled a hamstring just contemplating the mental gymnastics they must be going through to reach that conclusion.

Oh yeah, they're also trying to ramp up the "but muh temu" as container ships from China come in partially loaded. This one truly amuses me. How many expectation vs reality pictures have we seen making fun of how shitty the products from China are. But the sky starts falling as soon as those same junk products aren't being imported in large quantities. Make that one make sense. :dunno:
