The US doesn't hold all of the cards, but we hold a lot of them. I agree that liberation day was an ill conceived fiasco, but I support the objectives. Europe has overplayed it's hand, and Australia isn't even in the game.

You don't even pay the tariff the importer does. So why do you even care if the US imposes them? It's our business not yours. And if you want to pull that "well it affects us" bullshit, then that just proves how lopsided against the US these "fair" trade agreements have been. I am one of those that gets annoyed. But it's true that they are within their rights, and we are within our rights to take our business elsewhere. In the case of these service providers, you are generally getting screwed either way.

It's hard to understand or wrap ones head around how tariffs aren't having a major effect on inflation but it's rather simple.


Everyone is worried about the effects of tariffs on the old economy or a traditional economy....... with low interest rates and low inflation..... key word here interest rates and forget about inflation for now.....




It's a high interest rate economy stupid........



Stop focusing on inflation and the low hanging fruit and realize this isn't your regular economy with low inflation or low interest rates. It's an economy with above normal inflation inherited from Biden with high interest rates and that is the main thing to remember.


This is why The President kind of backed off the Powell thing because I think someone in the administration, Bessent most likely explained that essentially the higher interest rates aren't necessarily bad because they help combat any possible inflation from the tarrifs.


It's a delicate balance and a fine line but essentially it's what has granted the President the power to implement Tariffs no other President before him really had without the consequences of high inflation or any inflation due to the higher than normal interest rates.

Trump even said he plans on blaming Biden for next quarter's numbers which it would seem he expects to be poor, otherwise he would be taking credit already. LOL. He is the most deranged person I've ever seen and you followers aren't far behind.
