I'm liking the MXR Timmy I have so far, it's a pedal built to boost Marshalls. The EQ is pretty flat when wide-open, but you can narrow the range if you want to tighten up the lows (before the clipping circuit) or smooth out the highs (post clipping). My perception of the pedal is that when set right it just gives "something more" without making me feel like I'm playing a different amp. Cant go wrong with Timmy, and pedal that can be used in so many ways, all good.
Always been curious about that pedal.I've got my rendition of a Buxom Boost coming soon ..... perfect for exactly this ... the ability to toggle on and off the tone stack is awesome...
