Boost pedal comparison

I'm liking the MXR Timmy I have so far, it's a pedal built to boost Marshalls. The EQ is pretty flat when wide-open, but you can narrow the range if you want to tighten up the lows (before the clipping circuit) or smooth out the highs (post clipping). My perception of the pedal is that when set right it just gives "something more" without making me feel like I'm playing a different amp. Here's @LPMojoGL's comparison of the Timmy and TS into a dirty amp:

Cant go wrong with Timmy, and pedal that can be used in so many ways, all good.
I've got my rendition of a Buxom Boost coming soon ..... perfect for exactly this ... the ability to toggle on and off the tone stack is awesome...
Always been curious about that pedal.

What about the revival drive compact ?
It's a great pedal, but it's an amp in a box pedal, not really a boost

You might be able to dial it in to boost well, but that would kind of be like using a desert eagle to put down a squirrel

I tend to use that approach for hunting anyway, ha ha

I have all Friedman amps and recently did a shootout between a Ibanez TS808 mini and a Boss SD-1...
Both are great, but I think I like the SD-1 better.

Here is the SD-1...

My favorite boost for sure. I have two of them on my board. I also have a SD-1 too.

So I just ordered a Blackstar dept 10 boost

Definitely different from my other stuff. Not a ton of info or clips but what’s out there seems solid. Hopefully it’ll arrive this weekend.
