I know Priest (saw them a few times, with Iron Maiden in the late 70s/80s), but they weren't anything special...maybe to you gen alpha kids they seem more influential than they ever were.

Priest weren't anything special? :ROFLMAO: That's not even an argument, you're high

Even their biggest haters (that actually know anything about metal) wouldn't say that - they single handedly forged and were the flag bearers of the NWOBHM and influenced every subgenre that followed heavily

My thought on kiss...4/4 beat; 4 high hat hits, one snare, alternating one to two on bass tom....ad nauseum. Generic lyrics

Reminds me of country, just has diatortion and no bumfucked accent
You've described 95% of all classic rock bands.

True story; a guy I worked with for years absolutely loved Priest….until Halford came out. Then he was all like, “I can’t listen to this anymore because Halford was singing about guys”. I guéss RSM is ok with “Christine Sixteen” subject matter

I've literally never met anyone who stopped liking/listening to priest because he was light in the loafers - my parents (in the 90s when he came out) were like "yeah no shit everyone assumed it, look at their clothes"
