Techdeth is a professional YouTube personality!

I know you are trying to get money cause all blues players trying to get money.

Tech, that video is killer. You look and sound like a dude on a hot licks video. Totally professional. And the vape break part was cool as heck but if you are getting blues serious you might want to throw a whiskey break in there from time to time. I'm liking your whole vibe brother, very nice. You look and sound great on camera.

As for your scale, very cool and I use something similar. You're adding F# and C# for Dorian flavor. I usually add those as 9th's and 13'ths so you float above a dom 7 since those are the extensions. Also, I like to move chromatically between the scale tones on the 4th and 3rd strings, and if I am playing around with a major pentatonic feel I will add the passing tones between B and C# and E and F# because it adds an extra flow to the pattern. Maybe not quite as useful in a minor pentatonic setting but I use it all the time when there is a major feel. I'll PM you a video with an example of it. Good luck bro, I hope this blows up your channel. You really kicked it off with a bang.
F# is from the minor as well and it suggests the minor with all these notes . But thanks for the kind words . Love the video too

But if I'm in E and the I chord is dominant, isn't an F# functionally a 9th? That's how I'm using it.
It depends . I’m thinking in eminor for my modern shred . We would not be playing these over e dominant in modern shred .i mean we could . But remember f# is in both keys though . But dominant will not be found in most metal songs . If you knoticed when I played I was capturing e minor tonality
Not E7. Once again I could suggest it in my playing but I didn’t play it that way . But you can hear hear I’m clerking in E minor in the video. Now if I landed on major 3rd for a bit I could change it instantly

I have no fucking clue what you crackers are talking about. I really would like to learn some theory but damn… when I was in school and college I couldn’t stand to be around 90% of the music major types….

Start by memorizing all your major scales in all 12 keys. Start with C since there are no sharps or flats
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
C D E F G A B and back to C

What’s a major scale? Seriously. I know a pentatonic or blues scale. Nik tried explaining it to me once but I had kids running around and the kept asking me shit so I couldn’t concentrate on anything…. I literally have no experience with this stuff… I just beat on it and hope for the best….

It's the foundation of western music, for the most part. Theory 101. If you don't memorize them you're handicapping yourself. It's not any fun but it's a building block for doing greater things. It's a tool to help you understand music better more than it is a scale you'd rip over metal.
