The best guitar player I'm aware of, for my money is Greg Koch.
I didnt even think of him.
Greg is the reason I bought a WW LP.
I watched a WW LP demo he did and ended up on the site purchasing.
Fantastic player.

Man, even Mustaine is closer to Hetfield than Hammett is on your list. Are Kirk and James on the outs or something?

Not in particular order. Maybe should’ve listed James and Kirk and left Dave out. :) This is the list of my top influences.

  • Eric Clamptoin:
A blues-rock legend, known for his soulful and expressive playing, especially with Cream.

  • Jaimmy Page:
Led Zeppelin's guitarist, known for his diverse style, from blues and rock to psychedelic and heavy metal.

  • Jeff Beck:
Known for his innovative sound and virtuosity, particularly with his use of feedback and distortion.

  • Keith Richards:
The Rolling Stones' guitarist, renowned for his iconic riffs and rock and roll style.

  • George Harrison:
The Beatles' guitarist, known for his distinctive Indian-influenced guitar style and innovative use of the sitar.

  • Duane Allman:
The Allman Brothers Band's guitarist, famous for his slide guitar technique and soulful playing.

  • Jerry Garcia:
The Grateful Dead's guitarist, known for his psychedelic and improvisational style.

  • Steve Cropper:
A key member of the legendary Booker T. & The M.G.'s, known for his soul and funk guitar work.

These threads are a bit silly. I don't really have any guitar heroes or top 10 of anything for the most part, a few inspirations over time, but never felt the need to be any of them. I didn't even know most guitarists names from a lot famous bands until RT. :ROFLMAO:

Actually it makes a ton of sense, especially the lack of creativity

If everyone's super important major influence as an artist is white interior paint and mayonnaise, it shouldn't be surprising that there isn't a lot of super creative musical stuff going on
