Hilarious...as hard as George tries to retire the " Lynch Mob" brand, he just can't admit that what he wants politically just doesn't mesh with what his career expects of him and what people associate with.. ladies and gentlemen, meet Lynch ( & the ) Mob lol. Ridiculous.

So is anyone going to catch this latest " george LYNCH and the MOB" tour? .. sorry to boost my own thread but i just find this hilarious. "I'm retiring the name...for realz this time"

Sorry for the real candid question, but can someone please explain why George may want/have to "retire" the Lynch Mob name/"brand", if he still wants/can continue to play/record/tour?

George doesn't like the name because he thinks in the modern world it will be deemed racist be "some" ... he retired it a few years ago and just used george lynch (and maybe the electric something or other..can't remember now) to bill shows and ticket sales weren't there so he started using the LM name again

Fact is , it hasn't been Lynch Mob since the first album tour ended and he got rid of Oni imo
 
Local venues and promoters will simply put Lynch Mob on the tickets and posters.. it's a bad ass name AND his literal name so I just can't understand it. I also think the 2nd album was great too btw. Those two were special. Probably his song writing peak once he had gotten away from Don's cheese.

in this day and age Lynch Mob is as offensive as grandma’s apple pie.

and it’s not like his concert promos are hitting the front page of the Times either. only loyal fans care about what he is up to.
 
To be fair, Lynch Mob was a risqué name from onset, which was surely the point: come off edgy.

Way back in the Dokken days (at least on the ULAK tour), he was already rocking the Lynch Mob picks, which referred to his guitarist fans.

I do know he caught flack on the name in recent years, most notably from Vernon Reid
