Definitely not. I mean you get little stuff like people on Rig Talk assuming the entire state is overrun by immigrants because Boston took a bunch of buses full of them in.
But it does not fuck the state politically like NYC does. I picked up on that a little bit when I moved to Albany. But after living there for a while and making friends with people further north and especially west of Albany, and it was incredibly apparent how little NYC stood for New York.
Where I live, though in MA, is pretty much equidistant to Boston and NYC in terms of travel so it’s kinda fun to feel the two vibes. The locals do the Boston vibe and the tourists/weekenders are straight outta NYC
