It has those old Spector pickups, it sounds thick as fuck. It is a very heavy instrument, I like it
don't know what year it is ..... but it screams 1986 to me ............ back when I use to look at the first Poison Album cover on the back .... trying to figure out if they had cocks or not ...

there isnt too many people that have the old version ................and have a Bobby Dall Sig series Bass ..... hmmmmmmmmmmm
I am the sort that imagines he won those instruments in a pinball tournament with mad skills and precision flipper flipping.

I have one of those !!!!! you got one now ??
Naw Jose scored it. I was like dang that's a lot of dough but it is a nice sounding unit indeed and very controllable! And best of all, analog. I would actually consider one of those one day if I didn't just reach straight for a Fender RI tank.

I shopped around and researched just about any and every analog / real spring reverb I could find for a few years ...... I was at the point where I was just going to build one of those Fender Reverb Tank Heads .......

and then I ran into the Light Pedal ........... couldn't buy it fast enough ...... if you want to add legit Spring Reverb to any amp .... this is how I would suggest to do it ... on top of the real Spring reverb it does some really cool shit I've never seen on any pedal .

Until I heard the light pedal that reverb tank head you are talking about is the only one I would've been willing to use live. I had a Meris Mercury 7 which does amazing stuff but like every digital reverb it sounded good clean but then driven there was gross digital harshness in the highs added. I know I can mod a Twin to have more tweakable reverb but otherwise the built-in is either too much reverb, or none. I had the tank but since it's like lugging another small amp I stupidly sold it but it sounded great with a strat and a plexi/greenback half stack!!!!

exactly ...... last thing you need is to lug more gear to a show ....

any Digital Gear has always sounded like that to me ..... I call it " tin can " syndrome ....

IMO .... it all has to be analog .... but that's me

Yeah gotta be a streamlined rig. It's not just you brother. There is something that happens to the upper harmonics in digital gear. It makes them harsh.
