TU3 goes out of tune vs Polytune

I bought a tu2 about 6mths ago for nostalgia reasons. Gigged with one for years back in the day and always thought they were one of the coolest looking pedals when I was a late teen

Use it for stringing guitars and getting the tuning close enough.. then use the polytune for when I’m recording and need a guitar properly in tune
I think I bought my TU2 in ‘03 or ‘04 maybe, I’ll keep it around as long as it still works. It’s a great “close enough for rock & roll” tuner.

Why? The Polytune3 I'm using is is great. Mentioned I don't like strobe tuners.

Was more raising i'm surprised the TU3 wasn't accurate for low tunings given they're an industry standard
Turbo Tuner is simply one of the best if not the best....... IMO.....

YMMV :dunno:

May be spec wise. A guitar that’s properly setup will never sound out of tune with a polytune either

So it becomes personal choice of what type of display you like etc

One of the best techs here in Australia uses polytunes and he’s looking after some big artists

A guitar is never a perfectly in tune instrument so the accuracy specs just become marketing once you reach a certain accuracy

True and honestly I mean nothings perfect not even a Turbo tuner..... and its good to have seperate baselines and references for tuning.
