I thought you said in an older thread (possibly one of mine I'd have to search) that the reason schools, parents, drag queens, want them to perform in front of kids is to show that they are normal people and that the kids shouldn't be afraid?

That sounds like normalizing to me :dunno:

I remember saying something like that as well. What you quoted was me talking about the book in question and the whole non binary thing, which to me is very different than drag.
I do believe the drag story stuff preaches to be yourself, to “let your freak flag fly” so to speak. I suppose that could mean normalizing it, but also to just not worry about other people if you have having fun being yourself. Or in other words, feel comfortable to make the choice to do it.

Transgenderism is not a choice IMO, and that’s why people struggle with it. I’m sure many of the people who are going through it probably wish they weren’t. They wish they could just be “normal”, but ultimately the feeling that they aren’t is too strong to overcome, and hopefully they can find some peace and solidarity in a book such as the one we were talking about.

The related one I think we had some time ago was called "Dems and Pedos" and it was locked so I couldn't bump it. Probably best, as that was back when there were no rules here and things were pretty out of control. Coincidently, there were tons of Alts in it :lol:

And no, for those wondering why I care - I don't want to be a mod. I just want this place to be healthy because it is a.) the only forum I use and b.) we don't need OTC removed from R-T like what happened not too long in the distant past. :dunno:

I can’t say for sure if the book in any way recommends a sex change or surgery, and drag most certainly does not.
The operation is just what sone people think will make them feel “right”
