Some people believe it is the bridge, strings, pickup, etc that breeds the greatest tonal differences. Science has now shown all that shit doesn't matter. It is only the headstock.

I know most here believe the James Tyler headstock breeds the best toan. This could not be less true.

This is my pick for the best tonal delivering headstock that also doubles as a weapon against an unruly bassist that tries to argue music theory as if they are a musician...

What is your pick?

The JAMES TYLER has superior overall thickness than other headstocks which correlates to a thicker tone. Tone is not just a factor of a headstock's dimensional length.

I'm hilltop so I'm ok. Gonna head down to my local quikkie mart to scope out a couple low water crossings and grab a cold beverage in a few minutes then I'm mixing my record, finalizing it all today.

Also high elevation and far away from the colorado system. I am watching giants live and loving life. I have a ton of hamburgers, hotdogs, carnitas, etc from last night, so I have no reason to leave my kingdom

I put my remaining JBL k120 in the loft, lol. Right now I'm starting to worry about a couple of the better gigs getting waterlogged. It's not looking very good right now especially since I haven't heard back from a couple texts I sent down south....

I had a kxk before at it was the single nicest guitar I ever played. It was effortless. The necks are fucking special. It is a pain in the ass to get him to build me one with my feature set, so that will never be.

That said, I have been flirting with a guitar...

Is that a thin U shape neck? Jumbo frets?

If so, that combo smokes on the Viper. Effortless....
 
I thought the paddle of a headstock was a bit big when I used to look at Vigier 7 strings. But when I got one, I swear it gives better tone.

Yngwie says the same about oversized 70s strat headstocks. That and non locking nut, which the Vigier also has.

Man I’m depressed they are shutting down.

I dig this. Stripped down to the bare essentials. You could also just yank the pot and hardwire the pickup to the jack like KK's Flying V's.
