Came for the foot, stayed for the amp
I’ve learned over the years I’m more a recto guy than diesel guy

Both great though
still didn't put the recto through all its paces, but i really seem to like the softness and "organic" quality of the DR.
Don't get that with my Diezels. But i remember i really played it a lot with the tube rectification when i owned it back in the day, too.
it's very inspiring to play! I can make the Diezel sound pretty close with an EQ infront, still the feel is so different!
but i don't think the Diezel VHX is going anywhere, but yeah the herbert MK1 can go, but i decided that before i got the the recto and it's more because of the VHX.
the fuzzy nature, why i sold it back in the day, is not there. there a a few possibilities why that is:
1) the cab was new back then.
2) amp version
3) tubes
4) i have way better skill
5) i dial it in way better
6) my ears are shot
i think it's a combination of all of them
