I recorded an instrumental track. Filmed a video. Used Suhr/Friedman/Wizard.

A while back I asked myself if I could write an instrumental track that could hold my own attention, let alone anyone else's. I've always played in bands and worked to support a vocalist, so it was definitely me stepping out of my comfort zone.

This is what ended up coming out.

Great tone man. Beautiful. You a great player too.

Thanks! The 'verse' lead guitars were a BE-100, the heavy stuff was a Wizard Modern Classic and the clean guitars were a PT-100 on one side and a BE-100 on the other side. I'm usually a Splawn guy, but I was intentionally trying to do something a little different than what I'd usually lean on.

Dude, that ripped. Great playing and tones

Also solidifying my decision to never post my crap playing on this forum...

In fact, I might go start a bonfire in the back yard....

A minute or so after I read your comment, I saw this quote and thought it was fitting.

"I've realized that whatever you do and whatever you're passionate about, be passionate about it for its own sake.
Don't be passionate about it for the sake of potential fame or riches or acclaim.
Don't be passionate about it in ways that require other people to come to the table to prevent you from becoming satisfied with your project, because that way lies great folly and disappointment. L'art pour l'art!"

We all started playing guitar because we love it. We're all on different paths, with different goals and life pulls us in different directions. I've been playing for 30 years, teaching for 20 and went to Berklee. At the same time, I know people half my age that can play circles around me. Don't ever let your opinion of someone else's playing keep you from loving and sharing your own. At the end of the day, music is supposed to be fun.
