I think this guitar and TAs in general would look/feel amazing with an ebony fretboard. I asked about an ebony fretboard TA at the LA Mesa/Boogie dealer and was shamed and laughed out of the store.

I think this guitar and TAs in general would look/feel amazing with an ebony fretboard. I asked about an ebony fretboard TA at the LA Mesa/Boogie dealer and was shamed and laughed out of the store.

He sometimes has a small selection of ebony fretboards that he might be convinced to use, but he's really not a fan of ebony. But they do exist. Example of one here from 2017:

You should send Tom an email about that with details. I’m sure he’d like to know a dealer is running off a customer. He’s very personal and answers his email. I’ve emailed him several times with questions about pickups and he’s always responded with thoughtful answers even if my question was dumb.

My TA features a Blackheart fingerboard. It has the dark look of ebony but is more porous and feels more like rosewood. They really do build a damn fine guitar. Congratulations to the OP on that black beauty.
