One of the things I was surprised about regarding Nixon/Vietnam is when I talked to Vietnamese who live here in America...... and faught along side Americans against the Vietcong and the Communist North Vietnamese.......
I met one dude once too that was a family friend, Vietnamese, old timer..... fought with Americans...... and later talking to more Vietnamese you got this feeling that they didn't want the war to end..... he was like a special operations guy..... behind enemy lines type of shit and in the dark, slit throats while the Vietcong were sleeping and he said when the sun would rise and they got out of Dodge.... they would blow the shit out of the town or whatever they were on mission to do after they planted explosives and killed as many Vietcong as they could..... as they looked on in the distance from a hill smoking a cigar and drinking coffee never feeling better with a smile from ear to ear.......
I didnt really take him seriously because it was hard to believe but he invited me and my Dad to the house...... motherfucker had the whole house booby trapped and everything...... showed us his medals, guns, the old knives from back then and stuff and then I believed him..... like I never asked him about the war but he would talk about it sometimes randomly out of nowhere and sometimes as if he had like a memory or a flashback, when he was talking about a battle or some mission he would just freeze up after a while like 4-5 minutes into the story and kind of blindly stare into the distance randomly for a couple seconds......and then change the subject all together to fishing or like his Mercedes Benz or something or something his wife made for dinner.....
I never really asked him about it unless he brought it up in flashbacks mentioned and he talked about it as if it was yesterday...... clear as day.... and then change the subject once a memory was too much to take..... his eyes would stare off into the distance, glisten/sparkle and yeah just change the subject to something else entirely as if he wasnt just talking about it...... when me and my Dad came over he had one of those French type military hats on in green and one of his green jackets on too and was happy as can be..... and happy to kind of let us know he had served and I always told him how thankful I was for his service.
He was very proud of his service and for fighting for America and The United States against the North Vietnamese Communist and Vietcong.....
I forgot the dudes name but he was all about America and believed it could have been won had Nixon not been forced to leave essentially thanks to the Woke then who betrayed our country much like the Woke now seeking to do the same thing.....
Many of these old timers from Vietnam who fought there alongside Americans kind of felt it could have been won or at least resolved in a better manner...... and they appreciated America and The United States and respected our country for the effort and they believed and respected and continue to respect our American men and women in uniform........ and they believed in the country and believed in what America was doing and that it was the right thing to do......
Maybe if the Socialist didn't betray our country
then..... as they seek to do
now..... things would have been different.
Me Im thankful for what the men and women in military uniform did back then and do now and I never understood why our men didn't get the respect they deserved....... they did what was asked of them...... they did their job and no else could have done it better than our men and women in uniform
then or now!!!!!
THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED AND SERVE IN MILITARY DUTY AND GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!!
