Lots of figure there, for sure, but I have to wonder if it´s a foto flame. They did some of those, not at all uncommon at the time, but it could just as well be a pretty veneer too.

They’re definitely not a real flame maple top. It’s a plain maple cap though. Either veneer or photo
 
Orvilles were veneers except for a very few Yamano orders with solid tops.
 
Man I just found a killer deal locally on an aria pro ii from the 80’s….WANT….
 
The Arias are way cool, one of these days I´ll pick up one of those PE models with a Kahler like Neal Schon used.

Mine is a 79. It weighs over 10lbs. I have an Aldrich in the bridge and it’s just a killer guitar for the money

Sweet axe. You made it almost a whole month without buying a guitar! Seeing as how you live in Japan that is truly remarkable. What I wouldn't give to go browse them guitar shops in Tokyo just once with a pocket full of dough.
