Thank you. That is a capture of my EVH 5150 IIIS. All three of us have moved to the Laney 212 LFR cabs. They have made a huge improvement in our off the stage tones. What I love is that it makes my digital gear feel much more like playing my actual amp. The cab actually thumps when you do palm mutes.

That would be him. Juan and I have been playing together in various projects for the past 12 years.
Too cool, man! I know of him from his band with Larry Barragan, Santa Oscuridad and just saw them a couple weeks ago out in Stafford. I'll have to keep an eye out for y'all.

I’ve been curious about them. Love my Fractal gear but I’m currently using a 50-watt 6L6 EVH head in my live rig specifically because the live thing is only fun for me when coming out of an actual cab powered by tubes. I’ve been contemplating grabbing one of those KSR power amps just for this purpose. I haven’t dug FRFR stuff so far, but I should really give these cabs a shot because it WOULD be cool to utilize the modeling shit to the fullest extent and it’d free up some CPU for running a cab onstage while also going direct to FOH.

Sounds good! Are you just using the Laneys for on stage monitoring or how does that work? Looks like they are projecting / mixing with the FOH end result. Seems like the main benefit is stage volume for the modeler without going through a PA speaker. But aren't you breaking the same 'silent stage' rule as a 412 would?

Genuinely curious about pros with this vs like a suhr RLIR out to the pa. I was thinking of getting a splitter and using my amp to monitor / blend with a tonex signal to foh. These Laneys are a bit pricey.
