You needed someone to ask you?
Read the room
One, obviously his family and mine handle that stage of life differently. Not a judgement, just an observation.

And two I’m also speaking as a guy gets told he’s a terrible father, partner or son on a daily basis by a bunch of dopey muppets,

And 3 you need to chill too lol

First, I wasn’t offended or nothing so it’s cool.

I’m curious about what you mean about handling this stage of life. Are you or have you had to deal with a parent with dementia too ?

I’m not sure how much of this I already said here before, but the old man has a lot health issues and somehow managed to be the oldest living in the patriarchal line. For the last couple hundred years anyway. 85 is a long time. Longer than I’ll make it I suspect. He’s already on about 12 drugs for everything from high blood pressure to blood thinners for stents and blocked carotids. And I don’t really trust drug companies. There’s not a lot of options available that allow me to keep my promise to not put my parents in a facility so they can die in the home they’ve lived in for 60 years now. The gummies seemed like a reasonable option to me.

I meant that we seem to deal with death and aging and illness and all that in our family with fairly blunt humor. At least my mom’s side for sure.
My joke would have gone over well at the thanksgiving table
