Lots of maple

I played a couple of really hot outdoor gigs with my USA Jackson soloists this summer and I found they got very sticky and hard to play.
I switched over to these recently and have been having a blast with them.

Never met a Japanese Ibanez I didn't love. I should get another RG. Just fun guitars.

Charvels look good too. I just wish they used the taller frets like some other companies do. They are really wide but not as tall.

How do you like the Quarter Pounds? I just bought a bunch of vintage ones for neck pickups since I'm a big fan of Demartini 😋

(Also if you have pics of your Jacksons can you post em up?)

Love how those maple boards add fundamental content and snappy upper mid emphasis to the pick attack compared to a Rosewood board’s growlier/fatter character which also has more pronounced harmonic sparkle on the top end. Lest we forget ebony which really brings out a zingy sizzle in the highs and a generally faster attack than either the previous two. Tonewoods are fun!

Quarter pounders are great - I have them in my Jake clone.

I have sort of moved to maple neck guitars myself for the same reasons. A lightly finished maple shaft is really nice to play on a gig when it’s humid and gross out.

Quarter Pounder rules. I loved the chopper until I got a quarter Pounder in my Demartini Pro Mod. It is the sound i had in my head. Probably going to get more for a few other axes.

Yeah for my Single coil needs, the QP is king of the mountain. I also quite like the Dimarzio FS-1, but to be honest I only bought one of those because it was the cheapest single coil Dimarzio or Duncan were offering at the time. Win-win

I love the 1/4 pounders in the neck position , in the middle I actually prefer the Classic Stack+ it's noiseless and it's got more "quack" to it than the 1/4 pounder, sounds great with a split JB
