Just my opinion, but definitely not a pro job. I was thinking about it this morning and thought the same thing about a suppressed weapon. If it was pro, they likely would have used a suppressed weapon. No way that a 30-06 Mauser would have even been a remote option for a pro. More than likely, that rifle was cheap and/or available to the shooter. Also, there is no way the shooter meant to hit him in the neck so I don't believe the "well trained pro" story. Anyone can shoot on paper, but it's different when there something alive is on the other end of the barrel. No pro is looking at a neck shot on purpose, ever. Shooter either missed low (attempting head shot), or missed high (attempted center mass). No way Kirk was wearing any kind of body armor either, not under a thin t-shirt without some kind of telltale signs. Also, if you watch the video of them rushing Kirk to the SUV, his shirt is pulled up around his arms and there is no visible armor, straps around the midriff , etc.. If they discover that the shooter is some kind of trans, etc.. the person asking the questions at the time of the shooting needs to be scrutinized as well, IMHO. The coincidence of the timing of that would be a little too much for me to believe. Looks to me like someone was trying to make a statement. Regarding the escape, maybe they planned.. maybe the didn't. Sometimes it better to be lucky than good.
Charlie Kirk didn't deserve this. His family and friends didn't deserve this. Nobody deserves this, I don't care what side of the political spectrum you're on. What does it say about the state of our country, when people are killed just for disagreeing with your point of view. It genuinely makes me sad.
