What cabs are you using these days?

my old faithful Mesa 4x12 w\english V30's or my Avatar 2x12 with the import v30 and heritage.

Cool riser for the 2x12. I picked up a nice 2x12 recently (with old Marshall label G12-65s), and it'd be nice to get it raised up like that.

It is just an old footlocker box. But you gotta get those horizontal 2x12s off the floor. I had an Avatar 212 before this one and it had a G12H30 and Classic Lead 80 - which was an interesting combo.

It’s so hard to know what cab works until you have it with your amp and guitar in your room. So many variables. Makes it a fun chase but also annoying.

i think anything front loaded is the way to go for aggressive tones.

Just sold my 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee 4x12 for $450.00 cash. That's all could get for it. :aww:

The prices of 4x12 cabs is strange. Even 2x12. I see Mesa 212 listed for 600-700 and they aren’t much more new but when I go to sell, I can’t get half that.
I’d gladly pay for your silver cab.

And yeah....VHT/Fryette cabs are awesome but those P50E's kind of suck (especially for recording). I grew to hate my Fatbottom 2x12 cab. I still have it but never use it; I should load it with some proper speakers
Reviving this dead thread to ask if you still have that Fatbottom 2x12? I've been dying to buy one to replace my pair of VHT 1x12 cubes
