technically yes; $1B is at another level vs even $900M. There are 3,028 billionaires in the world, with the US having the most, followed by China, India, Germany. There are investments and clubs, etc., that have a $1B minimum net worth to access.

FWIW, most of the billionaires in China and India made their money from jobs and work sent there by American companies and our government for decades. If you look at the list of countries for billionaires in the world in 1980, China and India aren't even on the list. That's money that could have made many more Americans wealthy, and kept our middle class growing larger every decade...this is a perfect measurement of how Americans were betrayed and sold out by our ruling parasites.

Oh I agree. But if you're the 1% then there is little difference between a guy with 200 million and a guy with a billion. Both are using high priced accountants to shield their money from the grubby little hands of the government. The really funny part is that even if the government was successful at taking an even more disproportionate percent of high earners money, you'd have to be full on retarded to think they would share any of it with you.

It's the same as it ever was. Better go out for yours because everyone else is going out for theirs.

And it's another thing you stole from Dan. It's why I have in the past accused him of arguing like a woman. You get into a conversation and when you can't actually justify your position, rather than just shutting the fuck up you slip into semantic land and try to shift the conversation to something else.

As if there is a difference in the way a billionaire treats society and the way a politician or political family worth hundreds of millions treats society.

not disagreeing. just that the more wealth you have the more options you have. at the $1B and above, there are options that most can't even conceive. from various tax shelters, investment options, etc.,

I'm no where near this level of wealth; but when I made accredited investor status in my 30s, an entire world of investment options I knew very little about beforehand was opened up to me; which accelerated my net worth growth significantly. I have many more options for investment than non-accredited investors. I can still make good investments outside of these options, and I still do; though to accelerate growth/income these are much better, but aggressive; very high risk of losing it all, very high potential for reward.

I can only imagine there are similar "locked doors" at higher levels of net worth; and I do know there are some at the $100M+, $1B+ levels and likely many more thresholds.
