I FINALLY got a Darkest Nightmare.

This amp and I have a little history. When Marek/Driftwood first premiered the amp at NAMM 2020. Marek was super cool to talk with and we’ve stayed fairly friendly since then.

NAMM 2025 I told him it was finally time to get one sorted. This red ash front is the first one he ever did. Came out awesome.

He threw in all the bells and whistles. I also asked what tubes he designed it around and he said 6L6 so that what I went with. Gotta be honest, it was ear-to-ear grin all morning playing this.

Yeah I’ve gotten so much stuff I really should do a “what’s in the stable” update.

And for real, he had an all blacked out one at NAMM where I think the wood was hit by lightning or something. Looked so good. I love this treatment on ash and asked if he’d ever done it before on an amp and he hadn’t so went with it. I love the non-gloss look too.

Thanks man! Been playing it off and on the last couple hours between meetings. It’s a lot of fun to play for sure.
