I appreciate your clarification, but math is math man. Here's an explanation.
'Cutting drug prices by more than 100% would mean that Americans would get paid to acquire their medications rather than paying for them. Health economist Timothy McBride called Trump’s claims “just not logical,” noting that a 500% price reduction would mean that a drug that now costs $100 would cost…negative $400.
“I know of no drug company in the world that would give a person $400 to buy a drug that they are now pricing at $100,” McBride, a professor in the School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis, said in an email. “There are times we subsidize prices, but even then it is exceptionally rare for the size of the subsidy to exceed the price of the item, making the net price negative.”
Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying you're dumb, just that your response to the "unprecedented" news was 100% about the delivery and 0% the actual message, which was the only pertinent variable.
Is this because you can't bring yourself to give Trump any credit?
The question is rhetorical; I'm not responding further. Life's too-short brother.

Oh, no, if it actually happens I will be happy to give him credit. You and I already live in countries with reasonable health care unlike the USA. Anything to bring down drug prices is good. Of course, they are also canceling ACA subsidies which will drastically raise millions of Americans' health insurance rates.
I also give him credit for finally jerking Netanyahu's leash to stop the genocide, again only if it actually happens.
You know that Trump is a compulsive liar. He'll say anything and make stuff up just to suit his narrative. He lies just as much or more than he breathes.
