J. Went-worth is a scam, Bite-corn is da future.

I like him but I’m bored af after 2 or 3 songs . It’s the same shit OVER and OVER .

Now that's just fuckin' sad. Maybe we're turning Japanese and sitting for concerts now? :dunno:
Not me—I ignored them both times. Being 56 I get that it is hard to stand for long periods as you get older but it’s a rock show—either take strategic breaks or watch it on YT at home.

Its funny, the vast majority of people who think bonermaster is amazing are just people that can't play two notes per string pentatonics

Weirdly, everyone in the universe who can play two notes per string pentatonics isn't all that impressed with the bonermaster

Man I know . Ain’t this the truth
He’s good obviously but

He's a good guitar player but it's kind of easy to see why he gets ragged on. He kind of has the same vibes as ~*~Esteban~*~ the very white dude who tried to market himself as some seductive latin lover by dressing in all black and with dark sunglasses and flat wide brim hat while selling ultra shitty $80 acoustics on QVC.

I liked young Bonamassa. Songs were better, playing had a little more fire, and less douchiness. There's an air of arrogance about him now that just kinda rubs me the wrong way. Still a great player and great chops and tone.

I'm easy tho, like who you like and listen to what you want. no skin off my back.

No not really. Estaban, great player / great techneek, but crappy guitars and amps same with K. Urban, Urban total hypocrite.
Joe is ever evolving just when you got him figured as a blues schtick player, he changes it up and most his gear ranges from average epi to
Top Shelf Custom Shop Gibson.
Joe's Dad was a traveling guitar saleman for a living w/ a son who's a prodigy.
Now he's all grown up and taking no prisoners and many consider him the leading expert on all things guitar especially old Gibson's.
And when i hear he's snagged a new original 58/59/60 LP at least i know it will be loved, played and taken care of proper.
Joe can back up the brag but he's not really a braggert he's always meeting folks at their level and giving back to the game.
I sw him on The Nashville network or whatever they call it now during covid and had watched bands all that year on that program.
JB had a Dumble combo and absolutely destroyed the place, even the house band came alive. $.02

His ability makes me go wow for a second but then it gets boring to me. I’ll just always hear too much Eric Johnson worship in there and I’m not a fan of EJ either 🤷‍♂️. JB might be the smooth blues Yngwie for me. I think I’m just not a fan of constant smooth, fluid tone. I need that Angus /Gary Moore (rock era) injection and more variation in phrasing, more attitude.
I always like him in interviews though. Seems like a good dude who just really loves this shit. Would totally hang and if he asked me to jam I’d shrivel up like a mollusk in the desert because he has more talent in his pinky than in my pinky.

I'm not saying they're the same, I'm saying Joe and Esteban both give off a similar vibe. They're both uncool white dudes trying their very hardest to look like what they consider to be cool, but aside from that, even the image of cool they're shooting for is antiquated, out of touch, and lame now. So they're both starting out uncool and then striving to portray images that they both think is the height of cool but is very much not at all. That's the similarity.

No argument from me that Joe is a great player and live musician who knows his stuff about the gear he's into, but there's an inescapable element of lame always swimming in the undercurrent, which I think is the reason why he gets so much flak.

He's got great technique, sound and ability but he lacks a certain edge or attitude to his playing and persona. He's sorta a geek type guy. Not a fist fight type of guy.

Its the sum of the total parts to be a success and he has that balances it and does it well. The only pics i have on my wall is Hendrix, Jim Marshall and a golden Lab w/a duck & shotgun.

Me too. Can't deny he's a great player, but he gets old quick.

Guys. His technique isn't that impressive. It's literally zakk wylde with more expensive gear and no hybrid/chicken pickin'. It's literally all 2nps pentatonic wanking.

Honestly his gear and tone knowledge is on a way higher level than his playing, and as a historian/collector he's very elite - his playing, though, holy crap you guys are easily impressed with fast alternate picking
