NGD! Fender Richie Kotzen Strat

I got the Kotzen Tele and when these MIJ Kotzen Strats came out I had to have one.
Flamed Maple over Ash body, baseball bat neck, Dimarzio HS-2 wired for single coil.

Congrats! I've been wanting one of these. How tall are the frets really? I can see they are wide, but I'm not sure how tall they are.

Big fat frets, I didn’t measure them, but they’re fat like on the Malmsteen Strat.

Totally different from the Tele. These Dimarzio H-2’s are similar to the HS-3’s they used to use in the old Yngwie Strats.

That is beautiful! I nearly bought one of his teles about 10 years back, but the neck was just massive though. I ended up building one with a skinnier neck but the same basic pickups and controls. I think I would probably get along better with the strat.

I played it all morning. What a great sounding.Strat.
Once I tweak the set up my own specs, it plays great. There’s something about that big fat baseball bat neck, and those big frets.

I got the Kotzen Tele as well with the baseball bat neck.
It just takes a few minutes for my hand to get used to it. It’s not a problem.
