I've got a quartet of new MESA 6V6 tubes, and these won't work in my Mod 50? only JJ's? Why, please..???

I'm trying to determine which tube in the module corresponds with which channel. When I pull the module out of the amp and the controls are facing me, and I am looking straight at the module.....is the left tube channel 1 or 2? thanks.

Power-up, 60 seconds, turn the standby to hi-power, lots of rumble and thunder for about 20-30 seconds, and then it settles down to quiet. If I switch to low-power, even after warm up in hi-power, I get the rumble. comments?

I would love to know from all of you experienced Egnaters, if the volume variance on your T/D is a big as I am experiencing? If you set all knobs equally, is your T channel a whisper compared to your D channel? And I do mean whisper....like holding a conversation while you're playing and there...
