Bright like Nuno especially if you don't have a tone pot. I had run mine with a tone pot and 500K pot and it still had that cut. I can't imagine it in a guitar with no tone pot. It would sound exactly like Nuno sounds to me which is awesome for THAT tone. But not as much everything else.

Dave sometimes has odd takes on various things. Maybe because Nuno didn't want a designer amp from Dave it has left a stain. I can't think of any other reason not to like a guy like Nuno if you are blowing your load over guys like EVH, Lynch, Sykes etc... maybe his tone is thin and piercing ok...

He and MANY others are known for redoing those vocals in the studio for their " live" studio releases. Listen to all the bootlegs to know how he sounded night to night. Looks like 2002 ushered in the " new" Zakk as well. Still playing cleanly here but all over the squealy harmonics...

I had one of the modules.. was essentially a jcm800 preamp with a bit more on tap. Sounded good. These Randalls fly under he radar. I think the Lynch hardwired model ( no modules, just 3 channel amp) with the i believe a clean - brahma - Judge circuits was a fantastic sounding amp. No many made.
