Went back and listened to it today for the first time in forever. It's better than I remember. Definitely hits the nu-metal vibes pretty heavy at points, which hits me right in the elder millennial nostalgia.

The current ownership had a handful of shops contracted to make USA BCRs. Moser’s involvement was known a few years ago. Iconic isn’t the first one to get screwed over and I’m sure they won’t be the last.

I had a feeling this was a Jinjer post before I opened it. Been getting into them lately. She’s got incredible pipes and they have a pretty eclectic sound.

It has the click and any backing tracks that they’re using. Some bands run their whole show on rails from a laptop—in addition to tracks, it can control lighting, video, switching sounds on guitar rigs, etc.

When I was a teenager banging away on cheapos at GC, I'd play them through the same shitty amps I had myself. As I saw it then, there's no way in hell I could've afforded a big-boy Marshall or Mesa so why torture myself with what I couldn't have.

That thing's existence just doesn't make sense. If you're old-school, you could get any number of killer and highly versatile tube amps for equal or less coin. On the other hand, you could get an Axe-Fx III and a power amp for less. It's a solution in search of a problem.

Second cab I ever got was a Mesa vert 2x12 back in 2004. Still have it. Yeah it doesn't have the low end of the horizontal 2x12 but it's more balanced IMO and way more practical if you aren't elevating it on something.

Amazon had it on sale so I grabbed it. Worth it IMO, very cool to see great photos of those axes and get some behind-the-scenes stories and history on the gear and James’s philosophy about it.

It's definitely real. Mesa stuff IME hasn't come down quite like other gear in the current market and models that never got much love are suddenly getting hype--a few years ago, any recto newer than a Rev F was unworthy, and now people are gushing over rev Gs and you even have guys like Fluff...
