I sure enjoyed my coffee this morning as per usual

I actually am just having some Great Value Dark Roast. It's quite delicious and didn't cost 5k.

Imagine how much vegemite you could've stockpiled if you hadn't spent 5k making a cup of coffee.Nectar of the gods. Matches my avatar!
$5000/(365 x 2 cups x 5 yrs - how long I've owned it) = $1.36 per cup.Imagine how much vegemite you could've stockpiled if you hadn't spent 5k making a cup of coffee.
It's worth it to you. To me you just spent frivolously on opulent trash. I can buy a shack in Mississippi to stay in for the juke joint festival for what you spent on your coffee maker and one year of coffee making supplies.$5000/(365 x 2 cups x 5 yrs - how long I've owned it) = $1.36 per cup.
Annual coffee bean cost $330 - so about $1 per day and $0.50 per cup.
So total cost per cup is $1.86 AUD which would be about $1.20 US...
In my opinion that's worth it for better than cafe quality coffee every day of your life + the machine will like last 15-20 years so the cost keeps getting cheaper and cheaper with every passing year.
I guess houses are cheap in the 3rd world. The average Sydney house is something like AUD 1.5M. You aren't going to get a house for $5kIt's worth it to you. Or a cup of coffee for that matter. You aren't going to get a house for $5k
The point is you have to spread the cost over all the coffees you make. In the end it's insignificant on a per coffee basis. You have to have the money up front that's all.Or a cup of coffee for that matter.![]()
only 2 cups a day? rookie numbersThe point is you have to spread the cost over all the coffees you make. In the end it's insignificant on a per coffee basis. You have to have the money up front that's all.
I only drink coffee at all because my wife started drinking it and I didn't want to see half a pot of maxwell house breakfast blend go to waste anymore. I'ts not really something I require as a staple so it's all kinda wasteful to me, like smoking. If I told you I spent 5k on a couple Meerschaum pipes and good tobacco you'd probably have the same thoughts. The point is you have to spread the cost over all the coffees you make. I try and watch my weight. I think the Italians don't have milk coffee after about 11am... I think that's a good rule.only 2 cups a day? rookie numbers
I like the kick it gives me. When I wake up I feel like I have a brain fog before I've had a coffee. I have to have some vices. I spend absolutely nothing on alcohol or cigarettes. Gotta have a few pleasures in life or things are miserable.I only drink coffee at all because my wife started drinking it and I didn't want to see half a pot of maxwell house breakfast blend go to waste anymore. I agree. No point in working if you can't treat yourself to something you enjoy now and again but 5k on coffee is still crazy to me. I can stay home for almost half a year without working cause 5k would pretty much give us this day our daily bread.Gotta have a few pleasures in life or things are miserable
I bought the house next to me for 5k. It was trashed but so what. Giant garage. Now I have a huge back yard. It’s that tan colored one at the back of this picture.I guess houses are cheap in the 3rd world. The average Sydney house is something like AUD 1.5M. You aren't going to get a house for $5k
