Get this:

I ran out of my usual organic tobacco and nobody local had it in-stock (no car), so I had to plunk down for the chemical-filled stuff. Figured I liked Champion Ruby back in the '90s so I ended up buying it.

Wait for the price... wait for it... waaait... $162 AU.

That's significantly more than my entire grocery bill, and those prices have skyrocketed. Only difference is that this particular brand (I can't speak for others) is easily 10x what it should cost. Gonna have to make this packet last at least 3 months I reckon.

The price has nothing to do what tobacco costs or where it come from. The price is nearly all exhorbitant tax to discourage people from buying tobacco.

Admittedly the packet was bigger (only size the shop said was available) than the 30-odd gramme organic one I normally get for $100; it was 50g.

So yeah, the old "normal-sized" packets of the various tobaccos, which are roughly 30g, are prolly 2/3 that price.

Still can't believe I paid more for that than my grocery bill on the same day. Turned out to be a 'spensive Saturday.

so my youngest got up early with me this morning and wanted to help make coffee. I showed her how the milk frother attachment works on the coffee maker and now I don’t ever want to eat cereal without foamy milk again.
