I have a Krank Chadwick I want to run a high gain pedal into. I had a Mesa Mark V and I miss that sound. I've had the bogner blue and red and those were fine, but I'm wondering if there's something better that's come out. I thought about the soldano pedal or maybe a Friedman be deluxe.
You guys...
My first show was Kiss's farewell tour in 2000 and my son's first show was the Kiss farewell tour this year. We just watched the final show together and it was awesome. Who knows, maybe his kids first show someday will be a Kiss farewell show.
My current favorites are the rmc4 and an area 51 wah. I used to hear people talk about the area 51 stuff all the time but I guess they've fallen out of favor over the years. Still sounds great to me.
I happened to see the post about the spark plug socket slide before going to the rock and roll hall of Fame. It was fun running into it in person. I would have never noticed it was actually a socket
I have a 5:25 and gigged it for a few years. Fantastic amp as far as I'm concerned. I owned the 5:25 and the Mark 3 purple stripe at the same time. I ended up selling the Mark 3 because the 5:25 sounded great and was so convenient. It also beat out a Marshall silver jubilee for my needs
I use my Helix LT for everything nowadays but if I was going into an amp I would use a hxfx without hesitation. I use a mission expression pedal with the LT and would definitely use it with the hxfx. I like the Mesa eq pedal and the effects work pretty well for me, especially with all the recent...
That guitar is epic. I'd be annoyed that they put different DiMarzio logos on it but I wouldn't think that would be a deal breaker. Happy New guitar day!
Probably an unpopular pick, but Krank. I've had two Krank Chadwick's and they were both pretty solid amps. My current one is the single channel with mercury magnetics transformers. I think if they made more amps like the Chadwick they might have lasted... That and a different looking logo
Love the new gold top! The inlay on the headstock does wonders for that guitar. Where do you get the pickguard from? I'd love to get one of those on my h150.
I use an old line 6 g50. I've only had it cut out when I went really far away. The battery door is a common complaint but it works great if I use regular non rechargeable batteries. Otherwise it's been pretty solid for years now, especially for the $100 I paid for it used.
Fantastic guitar and hard to beat with new pickups. Love the green Dimarzios. I did a Seymour Duncan JB/ quarter pounder/ Jazz in my 1570. Best upgrade I did was a Red Bishop trem bar. It's super solid now. Happy New guitar day
I've had a goldtop h-150 for a few years and I really prefer it to the 83 Les Paul Custom and the 98 studio that I had. The neck is a little bigger than I usually go for but it feels good. A lot of people complain about the weight of the the h-150 but I don't find it a problem. Solid guitar that...
There's so many awesome strats in this thread. Mine is a Carvin Bolt. Ebony board with stainless steel frets and a swamp ash body with quilted maple top. The Wilkinson trem works well enough and I added Sperzel locking tuners. Swapped the pickups to some 90s Fender American standards. For the...
