I personally love BKP's but each model does a rather specific thing and it's quite easy to get the wrong one.
By "standard" Gibson humbucker which model did you mean though? Burstbucker 1/2? 490? 498?
I use the JCR and it's decent. Just note that you'd need a TRS cable from the interface to the reamp box instead of guitar cable, otherwise you'd lose a few dB's.
Went to Tokyo for a few days and wanted to get a MIJ Jazzmaster. I like the JM shape but I haven't had a "real" one yet. There were a few humbucker models (Modern/Elemental) that looked good online but were mostly out of stock in shops. The final contenders were this Heritage 60's VS an Inoran...
I agree with some of the previous comments. Try some plugins first and see how you gel with it.
If you’re not gigging there isn’t a whole lot of point in investing in a hardware modeller by now.
I have a 1960 one which looks similar. I got some locking tuners and strat pickups in it and it screams. Not a fan of the stock pickups.
My 2nd oldest guitar is a 1961 SG Jr but the '60 MM actually sounds better.
Yes, but the recorded tone doesn't necessarily sound like what you hear in the room. Which is why making amp demos/reviews can be a tricky job because most people watching these are never going to record anything with said amp.
